    Where did $1,200 go?

Rent is $600 a week, which should be $31,200 a year. The annual statement shows $30,000 rent received. Where did $1,200 go?

    Fictional example

    The answer

    B: two weeks without rent.

$1,200 is exactly two weeks at $600. Rent received is counted before fees, so the gap is time the property earned nothing: a vacancy or unpaid rent.

Why the other answers don’t fit

    A. Management fees: no

Fees are listed as separate deductions. They don’t reduce the rent received line.

    C. GST: no

Rent on a residential property doesn’t include GST, so there’s nothing to take out.

    D. Rounding: no

Rounding moves cents. A gap of exactly two weeks’ rent points to two weeks without rent.

    Spot missing rent weeks early

PropAlly tracks rent received against what each property should earn, so a missing week stands out.
